New Zealand

We were quite lucky to have left Chile before the earthquake hit. All of our friends there are fine, but there was damage to our former cabana as well as one death in the 127, our second favorite disco, due to falling debris.

We've since been in NZ for 3 weeks now; sorry for not keeping the blog updated. We have been too busy experiencing this beautiful country full of waves, sheep, and fun! We purchased a 1989 Mitsubishi Delica nicknamed the Deltron for its spaceship like appearance, super high speeds, and NASA like engineering. The three of us have spent almost all of our nights sleeping in this beast.

We toured the North island for two weeks and scored some amazing waves with insanely lush backdrops. On the south island we immediately picked up a hitchhiker named Benji but was quickly dubbed "the grom" for his behavior... We traveled to the west, didn't find waves, and back to the east, where we found just as many, before heading south with Dunedin in mind...

Dunedin was sick, a futuristic college town filled with lots of girls, fun waves, and a lively vibe. Thanks to Allie and Associates we had a great time experiencing the local nightlife and touring the town. Alice in Wonderland is a must see... and we need to get back to our van since we havent paid to display. We will write more later.

k, bye
